Marbesa and Las Chapas

Las Chapas is located along the coastal A-7 road that links Marbella with Fuengirola. Situated about 12,5 kilometres from Marbella’s centre, it is about 15 minutes removed from both towns, as well as around 40 minutes from Málaga International Airport. Where Hacienda Las Chapas is a leafy villa suburb in the gentle hills just north of the coastal road, Marbesa and Las Chapas are adjoining areas of villas and luxury apartment complexes that flow down gentle slopes to the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean Sea.

Though beachside residential areas in Marbella, Marbesa and Las Chapas enjoy the kind of gentle slopes that offer fantastic sea views, add the signature coastal umbrella pines of this region and you have a pretty living environment made up of peaceful, leafy streets lined with mostly medium-sized villas and attractive apartment complexes set within semi-tropical gardens. Nearby are long stretches of sandy beach complete with pretty dunes and the protected natural zone of Dunas de Artola, while head ten minutes inland and you come to a wonderland of hill country views and trails perfect for hiking, mountain biking and horse riding.

Nature is nearby, but so are local beachside fish restaurants, chiringuito beach bars and trendy cocktail venues right by the sand. The main hospital of the Costa del Sol is ten minutes away by car and you will also find lots of children’s activities in the area.

Sports facilities

Apart from the yachting and water sports offered by the Cabopino marina, the eastern part of Marbella is known for its choice of excellent golf courses, including those of Santa María Golf, the Marbella Golf Club, Santa Clara and Río Real. This is added to by a good range of racquet clubs offering tennis and paddle, as well as professional gymnasiums and even the Marbella Rugby Club, rounding off a very complete active lifestyle offer in this part of the Costa del Sol.
