Monte Mayor is a 330-hectare estate, more than half of which is protected as green area, that occupies a swathe of sloping terrain in the municipality of Benahavís. The master-planned residential community includes luxury townhouses in a private village setting, and larger than average single-home plots, many of which have already been developed into high-end villas.
Monte Mayor was designed as a low density development from day one, making the most of its dramatic location in the hills behind the Costa del Sol, to provide far-reaching vistas from many of its prime plots. The 53 unique townhouses that make up La Heredia de Monte Mayor are, obviously, closer together, but still offer privacy to residents. The entire community benefits from 24-hour security for peace of mind.
The estate is located less than 10 kilometres above the A-7/N340 coast road and can be reached from either the Benahavís road, if coming from Marbella, or from Cancelada, if your journey starts in the west. Both Malaga-Costa del Sol and Gibraltar International Airports are less than a 45-minute drive away.
In the immediate area, there are more than a dozen golf courses, making Monte Mayor an ideal location for keen players, while the beaches of Estepona and Marbella are less than a quarter of an hour away. For fine dining, nightlife and local services, Puerto Banús and the N340 strip are conveniently close to the estate.
