A made-to-measure modern villa, designed to suit the needs of a growing family, this contemporary home stands on a large, front-line plot that directly faces onto the course at the Atalaya Golf and Country Club and enjoys expansive views that reach as far as the Mediterranean Sea. The accommodation includes a huge, open-plan living and dining room, that opens onto an extensive covered terrace, a large island dining kitchen, a palatial master suite, five further en-suite bedrooms, a gym and fitness suite, cinema, office, and a garage for three vehicles.

What TM did:

We were approached by an existing client who were looking to purchase a plot to develop a brand-new contemporary villa. The client wanted a family-friendly villa, in a secure neighbourhood, overlooking a golf course with views to the sea. We found various pieces of land to consider and the client finally settled on the best option to meet his requirements and budget: a double plot belonging to private owners in Los Capanes del Golf, which is located on the Benahavís road, near to La Alqueria.

The plot was relatively level, with plenty of space to accommodate both a good-sized villa and leave lots of room for a garden in which the children could play. It occupies an enviable front-line golf position, with beautiful views towards Gibraltar and faces south/southwest, to guarantee all-day sunshine. As we normally do, when assisting clients who wish to develop their own home, we helped to select three architecture and building firms to compete for the project. After much deliberation, during which we were happy to lend a hand in the negotiations on our clients’ behalf, the client chose a Sotogrande-based developer with an impressive track record in delivering turn-key, high-end contemporary homes.
