Stage 2: Building the basement

With excavations complete, lean-mix concrete is poured first, in preparation for reinforcement to the basement foundation slab. Once the formwork and the basement drainage are in place, the basement slab is ready for the concrete to be poured. As soon as this has been completed, the basement walls begin to rise.
