New section of coastal path opens in Estepona
It has been a little while in coming due to technical complexities, but the final missing section of coastal path between Estepona and the New Golden Mile is open.
There already is a wonderful stretch of coastal pathway that scenically follows the shoreline all the way from the Carrefour shopping mall past Estepona town and its broad sandy beaches and on to the marina and beyond. Likewise, those who enjoy walking, jogging or cycling along the beach, with the fresh sea wind blowing and amazing seascapes opening up before them, will also love the section of pathway that runs eastwards of Estepona along the beginnings of the New Golden Mile.
Both have been ready for some time, but until now there was a vital section missing that now links up Estepona and the New Golden Mile in one long glorious seaside promenade, threading together entire sections of beachside urbanisations, and bringing charming seaside cafés, chiringuito bars, seafood restaurants and even beach clubs into view. There is more to complete to link this area to San Pedro Alcántara and Puerto Banús-Marbella town, but the extension work is proceeding apace, and the shoreline pathway has just taken another major step forward with the latest linkage.
A prime beachside location
Ramblers and joggers who use the new pathway will enjoy one of the most scenic sections of Estepona’s shoreline, where it extends between sandy beaches and elegant sea-fronting urbanisations such as Los Granados del Mar, Bahía de la Plata and Alcazaba Beach. They will be joined by Los Llanos, a high-end beachside project set among trees and luxurious gardens. Its modern apartments and penthouses will enjoy fantastic sea views at just a few paces from the beach, heralding in a brand-new prime addition to the growing reputation of the New Golden Mile as just that – another top luxury residential destination in the greater Marbella area.
